On Monday 19th we were designing ‘lean to sheds’ (a shed with a slanted roof that leans up against a wall so it’s steady) for tools and gardening equipment. We went outside and took measurements of the wall that the shed is going to be built against – we decided the slanted roof was going to face over the top of the wall so the water would run out of the way. Laura and myself manually created sketched ideas for the shed
. We thought about how we were going to go about building it, for example, laying a concrete floor and the materials we were going to use for the roof, floor, walls, etc.

Yesterday we were clearing all of the shrubs from the courtyard using secateurs and putting them in wheelie bins.

The courtyard that we previously worked on still wasn’t in mint condition so we uprooted all the larger shrubs from round the sides to keep it neat.

In CDT (Craft Design and Technology) we made raised beds to put round the back of the school.. it was pretty cool

We took shovels and a wheelbarrow outside and began to dig holes round the side and back of the school to plant stuff in

We began to clear the courtyard by scraping moss from between the stones and uprooting weeds. We swept all the weeds and moss away.
